  2. Cats are book-related, at my house; can't read without one in my lap. And besides, the internet is made of cats (there's a YooToob video!)

  3. I always look forward to your roundup -- new blogs to visit and a few posts I missed.

  4. Really interesting links about the usefulness of book bloggers & their reviews.

Well, if blog reviews did not have any influence, I really doubt that so many writers and publishers were willing to send ARCs off to bloggers all around the world. And in my experience, honest and fair reviews do make a difference. Almost all the books I buy nowadays have been reviewed favourably by bloggers whose taste I like and whose reviews I trust.

  5. Blodeuedd-- I'm fond of them, too. They're usually the posts that have fascinating comments! :)

    Lenore-- You're welcome!

    Jeanne-- I stand corrected! ;)

Beth-- I'm glad that you do!

Dorte-- Sometimes I think various places only bring the importance of book bloggers up to get us all in a flap. (I refuse to flap.)

  6. I don't have time to check all those links, sadly, but couldn't resist Liz's great title Don't Should On Me. Loved the post.

    Thanks, Cathy!

  7. As for those posts about the value of book blogging - here is another link for you - an online event bringing bloggers and publishers together in forums and panels with the purpose of finding out how to bring in the readers:

Book bloggers are the greatest community and I hope they continue their good work to promote reading and authors. Terrific round-up as always!

  8. I love your weekly link round-ups! You always have such good links. I hadn't heard of the Leningrad cats before (or if I did I had forgotten about it - not entirely impossible). :)
